The story of Alfred is the story of millions of people who have left everything behind with the desire of fulfilling their dreams, the story of those families who have found in the United States the opportunity to rise above themselves through perseverance, effort, and dedication.

To talk about Alfred Santamaria is to talk about a life dedicated to service through missionary work and community work; how young people can be empowered to generate innovative solutions. To this day, Alfred and his whole family have been serving for 23 years in the missionary foundation M.Y.P.A.N.

He was born in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia, on April 1st, 1980. His family left everything they had in the pursuit of a family dream: to be missionaries. Alfred arrived to the United States when he was 13, filled with hope and eager to devote himself to the service of those most in need.
